Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek: Arrive in Bishkek, meeting with a guide and drive to hotel. Rest for a bit. After the rest we will go out to do a city tour. Visiting Ala Too Square, open-air art gallery, fine and art museum and always lively market Osh Bazaar. Lunch and dinner at restaurant to taste our tasty Kyrgyz food. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan
Morning breakfast in hotel and drive to Yssyk Kul lake, the lake is “The pearl of Tien Shan Ranges” surrounded by, at alt 1650m above sea level, the second largest alpine lake in the world. On the way visit Burana Tower from 11th century, UNESCO heritage sight. And a hiking to Konerchek canyons (2-3h of hike). Arrive in Bokonbaevo village (south shore of Yssyk Kul lake) and check in Guest House. Dinner and overnight in Guest House.
Day 3: Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
Morning meeting with Eagleman and see the demonstration of eagle hunting. And drive to explore south shore of Yssyk Kul lake. Visit Fairytale canyons and Jeti Oguz (Seven Bulls) and hike to Seven Bulls waterfall. Arrive in Karakol, check in hotel. Dinner at restaurant and overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Ala-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
trek to Sirota: Morning breakfast in hotel and transfer to the trekking point and start our trek into Karakol gorge and cross the river to hike up to Sirota camp. Picnic on the way and arrive in Sirota, set up the tents and enjoy the beauty there until the dinner. Dinner around camp fire and overnight in the tents. 5-6h trek, highest point 2900m, Karakol is at 1750m
Day 5: Ala-Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan to Altyn-Arashan, Kyrgyzstan
Trek: Sirota – Ala Kul – Altyn Arashan: After breakfast we will start the trek to Altyn Arashan via the most amazing lake Ala Kul at alt 3500m above sea level. And continue trekking to cross the pass at alt 3900m above sea level. Fabulous panoramic views. Picnic somewhere on the way in nature and continue hiking down to Altyn Arashan. Arrive in Yurt camp and swim in hot spring pools after a long trek. Dinner and overnight in Yurt camp. 6/8h trekking. 18-20km (highest point 3840m up/down 1050m)
Day 6: Altyn-Arashan, Kyrgyzstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
Trek: Altyn Arashan – Karakol: Morning breakfast and up to your wishes swim in a natural hot spring pools and hike down to Karakol, 15km to hike and 20km transfer to Karakol, arrive in Karakol and check in hotel. After shower we will visit Orthodox Church, Chinese Muslim Dungan Mosque and Karakol Bazaar to try special food Ashlam Fu. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. 4h trek, down 15km Karakol at alt 1745m and transfer to karakol
Day 7: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan
Morning breakfast and drive to Kochkor village to experience local family stay. We will drive on the northern shore of Yssyk Kul lake. On the way we will have lunch in Cholpon Ata and visit Open air museum of Petroglyphs BC. Arrive in Kochkor and visit Handy Craft shop. Check in Guest House for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast we will drive to the lands of animals and yurts. We will drive to Song Kol lake via Kalmak Ashuu pass at alt 3400m above sea level. Song Kol is located at alt 3016m above sea level. Outstanding sceneries, lovely animals and hundreds of yurts around. Arrive in yurt camp by lunch and have lunch in a yurt, makes you feel like the nomads or shepherds and have relaxing free time. Perfect place just sit or walk to relax out of civilization and internet. Dinner and overnight in yurt camp.
Day 9: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Kazarman, Kyrgyzstan
Today we will head to South, drive to Kazarman village, where we will spend a night after driving on the dirty road to cross Kazarman pass. Beautiful landscape, lunch on the way. Arrive in Kazarman, check in and walk in the village to discovery rural lafe. Dinner and overnight in Guest House with hospitable family.
Day 10: Kazarman, Kyrgyzstan to Sary-Chelek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast we will drive toward to the west, Sary Chelek area, we will drive via Jalalabad and have lunch on the way at typical restaurant. And spend a night in the village with local family before we start our hike and visit the wonderful lakes. Arrive in Guest House and walk in the village to see the differences and hospitality of the people. Dinner and overnight with hospitable family.
Day 11: Sary-Chelek, Kyrgyzstan
Drive to Sary Chelek lake (UNESCO biosphere) at alt 1840m above sea level. And drive to other side of the lake to start our trek to Otor pass. Walking in the valley with a great views and raspberry bushes and up to the pass at 2900m. Picnic on the way, according to the time we will camp at the pass or down in the valley of Kashka Suu. Dinner around camp fire and overnight in the tents next to the shepherds.
Day 12: Kashka Suu, Kyrgyzstan to Kara-Suu, Kyrgyzstan
trek to Kara Kamysh Lake/ Beautiful morning, breathtaking views, fresh air in the mountains of Tien Shan ranges. Breakfast and continue teking down along the river to Kara Kamysh Lake. On the way we will visit real shepherds to experience their life in the mountains. Picnic in a nature and arrive in Karakamysh afternoon. Sep up the tent next to the lake with great view. Dinner around camp fire and overnight in the tents.
Day 13: Sary-Chelek, Kyrgyzstan
Trek to Iyri Kol, Kyla, Kyz Kol / Waking up next to the lake and have breakfast with fabulous view, and continue exploring the untouched nature and the lakes. Walking around Karakamysh and start trekking up to the pass 2900m. and have panoramic view to the lakes. Yiry Kol, Sary Chelek. Up to your wishes go more up to see the 5 lakes at the same time. Picnic on the shore of Yiry kol (one of the most beautiful lakes) and continue walking in walnut and apple tree forest to see other lakes (Kyz Kol, Kyla lake). We reach Kyla lake and there will be our car waiting for and transfer to the village to Guest House.Dinner and overnight in Guest House.
Day 14: Sary-Chelek, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast we will drive back to Bishkek via Toktogul, it is a long drive but outstanding scenery, along the longest river Naryn and biggest Dum Toktogul, the most beautiful gorge Chchkand and gorgeous valley Suusamyr and the longest tunnel Too Ashuu at alt 3200m. Arrive in Bishkek, check in hotel and a rest for a bit. Dinner at restaurant and overnight in Hotel.
Day 15: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Kyrgyzstan
Transfer to airport: Transfer to airport and flight back home with full of energy and great memories.
