Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Racek camp, Kyrgyzstan

Guide will meet you in your place in Bishkek, then you drive to Ala-Archa national park, which is 40 km and 1 hour drive far from Bishkek. Last 12 km of road goes through gorge and right from car you’ll start feel mountain spirit. After drive we will hike up to hut on Ratcek stays, all the way could take 3 – 5 hours, we are not in rush, we enjoy nature and safe power for summit. There is nice picnic place close to the waterfall on half way to hut. After that trail become steeper and goes along rock walls, finally bringing us to mountain hut. The rest of day we spend enjoying nature, resting and making pictures. Drive: 1 hour. Hike: 3-5 hours. Elevation gain: from 2200 to 3300 m. a.s.l. Accommodation: in hut at 3300 m. a.s.l.

Day 2: Racek camp, Kyrgyzstan to Pik Uchitel, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

After breakfast we start our hike to the peak. Normally it takes 3-6 hour up and 2-3 hours down. Trail to the top is quite steep track, almost without flat parts which let us gain altitude quite fast. Every 10 vertical meters you will see new details in surroundings – Ak-Sai glacier, Uchitel lake, peaks. From the top you will enjoy breathtaking views on rocky and icy peaks from one side and Bishkek city from another. Summiting is only half of mountaineering, so we still have to go down to hut. After short rest and packing stuff we come back to car and drive to Bishkek. Drive: 1 hour. Hike: 3-6 hours up and 4-5 down. Elevation gain: 3300 – 4540 - 2200 m. a.s.l.
