One Day Trip To Charyn Canyon: See The Hidden Spots

Day 1: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Charyn Canyon National Park, Kazakhstan

Hotel pick up. The sun’s up & you are ready and excited to meet your fellow guide, who will smoothly introduce you what the life is like in Kazakhstan and answer any of your question (he or she will try at least). Driving to Charyn Canyon will take around 2.5 hours, on the way you will see how the dense urban landscape of the city gives way to green fields of potatoes and finally to the flat steppes without a tree on a horizon. To break up the ride, we will pit stop at the tiny Uighur village with colourful little market. To say that Charyn Canyon is mesmerising is an understatement; seeing is believing, and you can do so on one of its most popular Valley of Castles trail. We will walk down to the Charyn River and on the way (that will take around 40-50 mins) you will get a chance to soak up its natural works of art: red, tan and white striped sedimentary rocks that were formed millions of years ago. Peacefull bank of the river is a perfect spot for yummy picnic – we know you’ll love our lunch box! ? Our next destination is Moon Valley. See the hidden canyon that not many other travelers know about. Enjoy gorgeous view from the best point! On the way back to the city (if you’re not tired of course) we will gift you some extra miles of spectacular car drive with completely unexpected window views and photo stops! Trust us, you will remember it for long time! By the time we headed back into the city, traffic will be picked up and the way to your hotel won’t take a lot of time.
