Assalamu alaikum, dear guests! Welcome!
Today you will be treated to the most famous national dish of Uzbekistan - osh (pilaf). This is not just a dish, but a symbol of the hospitality, tolerance and harmony of the Uzbek people.
The tradition of making pilaf was included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016. Because pilaf is a tradition passed down from generation to generation, uniting people around the table.
Our osh is prepared from the following ingredients:
Devzira or local high-quality rice;
Fresh mutton or beef;
Carrots;
Onions;
Vegetable oil or butt fat;
Cumin;
Garlic;
Chickpeas (optional);
Salt and other natural spices.
The osh is cooked in a large cauldron over low heat. First, the meat is fried, then onions and carrots are added. Then the zirvak is prepared and rice is added. This process requires experience and patience.
In the countryside, surrounded by nature, getting to know the life of the local people, and eating at such a table is a truly national experience. Here you will not only enjoy delicious food, but also feel the hospitality of the Uzbek family.
