Very good guide, we went on a day trip to the 7 lakes and did a hike at the lakes. Very knowledgeable guide who is very friendly too. He had good advice on where to eat and very helpful with making our travels convenient.

Obid organized a tour of Penjikent from Samarkand for us in less than 24 hours. He helped arrange transportation to the border and met us right at the crossing point into Tajikistan. He offered several options for places to visit and customized the tour based on what we wanted to see the most. His deep knowledge of the sites we visited really enhanced the tour as well. Overall, an amazing tour. Thank you very much, Obid!

Obidjon was very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. We spent a lot of time to speak of the culture of his country. I really recommend this guide. The only negative point was that the driver spoke too much with his mobile phone when he was driving.

I spent three days in the Fann mountains with Obidjon as my guide. I had some issues with the driver that Obidjon hired, but Obidjon himself is lovely and always willing to try his best to accomodate my requests - for example, ending our tour in Khujand rather than Samarkand when the Samarkand border was closed. He is not the most experienced guide out there but it makes up for that with enthusiasm and openness, and that's exactly what I needed. All the best to you for your guiding journey!

Penjakent to the lake trek to khujand. Obid is an amazing and extraordinary guide. We put up our request for a Fann Mountain guide only a few days before the start date and Obid managed to pull together everything, driver with a good car, camping equipments, donkeys and guesthouse within a short time, and at reasonable rates. We visited the most stunning lakes in the Fann Mountains - Chukurak lake, Kulikalon lakes, Alauddin lake and Iskanderkul lake (last one by car). Obid was friendly from the start and showed us the local bazaar and an archaeological site enroute to the trail head. During the hike, he brought us fresh milk and yoghurt from the villagers, and showed us many things about the Fann Mountains. One of us was down with bad stomach and he was very patient and caring throughout as we made our way up the mountain pass in an extremely slow pace. After the hike, he took us to Iskanderkul and finally to Khujand but his services did not end there. He waited with us for our Khujand host to arrive, and pointed out places and transport fees for our next leg of the journey. Even after, we communicated via Whatsapp and he continued to help us during our stay in Tajikistan. I must say the Fann Mountains are amazing and Obid`s services are top notched. Strongly recommend! We had a 10 days trip from Dushanbe to Osh with Obid as our guide. He organized car and driver as well as appropriate accommodations. Especially we enjoyed our stay in the Museum-Pamir-house and the yurt stay. On our way Obid showed us interesting historical and cultural places. He suggested to take a bath the hot springs, which was a great experience. Obid is a very friendly guy who really cares about his customers. He is always interested and responsive on his guests requirements. His English is good. We liked and appreciate the conversation about culture and traditions. Thank you, Obid, and good luck!

Things went well, especially considering the notice was very short. Obidjon improvised a lot but we had a great time overall. He has an honest interest in his country and it’s history, so it’s actually possible to have a good dialogue about this. It was a great experience.

We are a group of two from Hong Kong that had Obid as our guide for a day tour from Penjikent to Dushanbe. He waited for us patiently at the border and helped us with anything we needed during the trip such money exchange, water, postcards and restaurants. He speaks good English and knows a lot about the people, history, politics of Tajikistan. As a history major in college, I`m quite satisfied with the readings and research he has done. We can tell Obid is eager to develop a successful career as a tour guide. I travelled along the Silk Road from east to west for nearly 4 months last year. I occasionally met Obidjon on the street in Dushanbe during August at that time, and he actively approached me and became my tour guide for 3 days voluntarily. He was very kind hanging me around and showing me some places. In addition, he is a friendly and nice guy. Furthermore, he can speak and understand English fairly well. As a result, I had a very good experience with him and he made my trip so memorable as well fruitful. Therefore, I would like to recommend him for other travellers, and wish your organisation keep helping more indy-guides like Obidjon.

he speaks english very well, knows the most interesting places of Tajikistan (Iskandarkull, Pamir, Khudzhand, Vahdat...) and is able to display them well, he is friendly, helpful and can lead tourists to any activities they can want to do. He actually has some experience in being a tour guide, even if it was not professionnal but with friends of him. I plan myself to come back to Tajikistan next year, partly because of how Obid made me discover the country.
