Big Almaty Lake is an alpine reservoir located in Zailiysky Alatau at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level, 15 kilometers south of the outskirts of Almaty. It is part of the Ile-Alatau National Park.
In winter the skating rink "Medeo" will work, for our guests, ice skating is free throughout the day.

The lake is a famous and popular lake not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the CIS countries. In its beauty, it competes with the most famous mountain lakes of the Alps and the Caucasus.
This lake was formed about 8-10 thousand years as a result of a catastrophic earthquake. After the collapse of the gorge, it was blocked by a dam about 300 meters high. Behind the dam at a height of 1756 m, a lake of 1750 x 1500 m and a depth of 50 to 90 m are formed.

Turgen Gorge is one of the outstanding advantages of the Ile-Alatau National Park. It is located near the center of Almaty, 90 km, if you move east.
In the gorge, you will find sources of health, the opportunity to enjoy trout fishing, unique waterfalls and open spaces.
The Turgen Gorge has seven main waterfalls, but only three of them are popular with tourists.
Waterfall Bear. The height of the fall is 40 m. It is the most easily accessible and enjoyable waterfall; many tourists rest near it.
Kairak waterfall (Buzgul). The height of the fall is more than 55 m. From the starting point to the waterfall about 9 km along a good dirt road in the middle of a beautiful forest. The entire walking route with stops will take about 2 hours. But, having spent your strength on this path, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of this waterfall. He has a very powerful and fast current, which the tunnel made in the rock.

Horse Riding On The Plateau Of Assy

She also wanted him to have a peaceful wife, but young Burkhan fell in love with a daring and freedom loving Kora. Everything was aright till his mother did not find out about it, but eventually when she noticed that they are together. She forbade him to see Kora and made a big castle where she locked him up as a punishment. However, the boy’s love was so strong that he managed to escape and unite with Kora. Many years had passed since those days but young couple is still together, and only one little river flows next to the waterfall its name is «Mother’s tears». That is the legend of this interesting place.
Burkhan-Bulak is the biggest waterfall in Kazakhstan, an altitude of four cascades is 168 meters. An adventure to this beautiful place will leave you speechless. It is almost like steam from a geyser, hissing and going down as an unstoppable stream of energy of cold water. In a fearless jump water goes into a gorge’s bottom, crushing everything in its way, but after each obstacle the stream of water calms down. A valley between the river and rocks is covered by a forest. Walking inside this forest is a pleasure for your mind.

Singing Barkhan Tour From Almaty

Mount Ulken Boguty Tour From Almaty

Fantastic and unusually red mountains are two massifs - Ulken Boguty and Bala-Boguty, located east of the city of Almaty. These mountains are the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountain system and stretch between the two rivers Charyn and Chilik. They must go down the road.

Paleogene and Miocene - the time of domination on equal typical savannah animals - hipparion, fat, elephant, mastodon, rhino, giant camel, saber-toothed tiger, hyena, ostrich, turtle and others. . The ridge is an accretionary prism, in which there is a layered conglomerate of sedimentary rocks during the deformation of tectonic plates.
